I agree I am no editor or an author or a critic to review the novel "The Rozabal Line".. However I do think I am an ardent fiction reader and that makes me a pretty decent reviewer of what I like to think about any book..
The book starts with a character of the past visiting a tomb allegedly of Jesus Christ. The narration the character build up and the plot starts off exponentially. I especially like the assassin as she is complex yet simple. The interconnection of various time periods in the story is remarkable. I think Ashwin did a lot of homework for developing that amazing link. I also particularly want to mention the Indian spiritualism depicted in the novel. It precisely describes the principles on which Hinduism and Buddhism came into being.
I am not a religious person and I would like to continue to believe in the philosophy I have.. all religions be it any are political agendas and nothing more than a way to control masses.. However the climax showcases the religions as beliefs for being a better person than the existing ones that we are...
Ashwin one word for you.. I think you need to work on the climax writing style of yours... It was predictable at least to me..
I have the other two books that he has written to read and I'll be back as soon as I have finished either of them..
All the best for future works.
