Chetan Bhagat writes and I quote “I am no trade expert or film critic”; in his opening paragraph..

You need not have a critic degree to say if you like a film or not. As an audience everyone has the right to choose to like a piece of art or not. He in his article has mentioned that Kites too didn’t do well. As far as I understand the film world and its trade, there hasn’t been a great hit this year, with exception of Rajneeti and My name is Khan..

 

Going to what he has written about the movie Raavan. I am an ardent fan of Mani Ratnam.. He has done some brilliant work in his movies like Roja, Bombay, Dil se, YUVA, Guru etc.. His movies always have a different feel and touch about them.. So the expectation with him (Mani Ratnam) is obviously high. It has to be..

 

In his article, Chetan writes about the history of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s acting. Well he writes, that the media has slated the 40 film old actress as “plastic”, “ice-maiden”, “wooden”, “artificial” and “non-actress”. He vouches for the fact that she being a non star kid and without a Godfather has survived the film industry..

 

My personal question to Mr. Bhagat is, Who was a godfather to her father – in – law? Or if you want me to be recent how about Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar? They are the biggest Hits in India today, yet they are no star kids and without a GODFATHER..

Lets come to Mr. Abhishek Bachchan. No offence Mr. Junior B.. But when you started your career please tell us how many flops did you have in your kitty.

He again writes that Aishwarya has had a remarkable career in movies and her rise is the cause of envy.. Now after reading the article it seems that Mr. Bhagat himself is envious of her as in one paragraph he states that she is the most successful person  ever and no one seems to change the channel if she is on TV.. Where on the other hand he speaks for the Indian audience and says that INDIA is envious of her.

 

This is funny.. how can INDIA be envious of people like her. I am sure in the near future he would again write an article about Sachin Tendulkar and would say INDIA is envious.. :P

 

My blog is a request for bloggers and article writers to be sensitive to what they publish in public forums as accessible as a newspaper. If Raavan didn’t work, that would never mean that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s presence is one possible reason..

This was an amazing train.. no rush, no crowd and loads of space to sit, stand and breathe.. :). It was unbelievable as a train at 7 in the evening and so empty.. Well we sat.. and started our discussion on people around us.. this is what we (as in Divya & I) usually do..

She gets down at Andheri and I go forward till Kandivali.. I guess it was Bandra when a Lady boards with a huge holder on her shoulder, and a stylishly printed bag.. some random lady in the pic.. but the bag was nice.. I tell Divya that I am sure this girl is an artist or from the graphic creative field and so she is carrying such a folder / holder.. whatever.. To this Divya has to say she can be an architect too.. which might also have been the case..

So we start discussing her profile, and meanwhile we have reached Andheri.. Divya boards down. And That Lady and I are teh last ones left, when she gets up and says " Don't you have to get down?" This is an Andheri Train!!"

Lesson Number one: Never trust the train indicators.. they can show you a wrong detail.
Lesson Number two: Never ever think that people who carry such huge folders are artists, designers, photographers, or architects.. She was a college going student who was carrying her project in the same.

And most importantly, Last lesson from the incident: Even if you are on the wrong train make sure you do not end up in Andheri.. taking a train from Andheri is a task from Roadies.. It is HELL..

Life was kind of busy these days.. doing nothing.. not moving an inch and still busy!! I was at home for a long time. Many say you could have used it in a constructive way and made the most out of this free time you had.. But no one never ever asked what I wanted to do with all the time I had in my hands..

Could you imagine how powerful I was.. I had "TIME" in my hands!! Where everyone is running to get things done "on time", meet ends "before time", be somewhere "Just in time" and so on.. I was the master of My Time and I enjoyed every single moment, every single second of it..

I was doing something which I wanted to do.. Take a break and relax.. I haven't had the worst life before, or have seen hardships in life, or anything that brings tears to an eye!! However, I wanted to sleep, eat and relax and live a life, people dream of.. I wanted to take a vacation, a holiday and a long one!!

So I did..

Coming back to what made me write this piece.. People., I could really never understand why; why do they have to have an opinion on everything?? Is it absolute necessity or mere habit?? I am not judging the ones who have an opinion; what I'm trying is to understand the reason.. the root cause of opinions on someone others' life!!!!

Right from the point how should one behave in a crowd, till how should one live their lives.. Behavior in a social circle, and opinions about it; is a very petty issue.. why should anyone remind an adult how to behave.. the person is old enough to choose between the "Wrong & Right".

About the constructive expenditure of my time, I was advised many a times to take up a new course, a new job, a new something or the other; where what I was already doing was the latest thing.. Taking a break.. I don't remember myself sitting idle and doing nothing for a lifetime!! School, college, jobs, switching jobs yet starting the very next day of my term ending in the previous one!!

Still every individual had an advice ready for me.. Thank god most of them would not read this piece else I am in BIG trouble... :)

Talking about opinions, I have one for those who are strongly opinionated.. They miss out on opportunities where they could make new discoveries...

I strongly disagree.. (pun intended) to opinions.. about anyone, any society and any world and every thing..
